What can you expect at Hola Charlotte Festival? You will enjoy a festival showcasing the way of life that prevails in Hispanic culture, with music and dance, food and drink, and the wonderful Latin American Cultural Village, where you will see examples of the cultural heritage of many of the world’s Hispanic countries, with each country showing artifacts from their home country to the delight of onlookers.
National dress will also be celebrated, with many countries displaying their traditional costumes and encouraging visitors to try them on, while local food can be enjoyed in the Cultural Village and throughout the Festival, so you can try food you may not have had before.

The Cultural Pavilion will bring together a number of the cultural groups and museums in Charlotte, and you will be able to take part in activities and enjoy exhibitions highlighting what these organisations do to help local people in and around Charlotte. The Pavilion is the place to go to see examples of local projects and also talk to people involved with the cultural organizations of Charlotte.
Music will be provided by a variety of acclaimed local and national bands and performers, with the emphasis being firmly upon Latin American themes and styles of music. You will also get the opportunity to meet performers, as the Hola Charlotte Festival is very much a hands-on event that caters for all ages, with encouragement to get involved in activities throughout the day.

If you’re someone who wants to get involved, you might like to check out the Zumba instruction available throughout the day of the festival. This fabulous Latin American dance is all the rage these days, and the instruction is open to all ages. If you just want to watch, there are demonstrations by top Zumba dancers, as well as many other forms of Latin American dance, so you can’t fail to be entertained!
